VANS Action Gallery

Concept and production of two Italian events for the Californian brand

Three days, two cities: Milan and Naples.

We were contacted by Vans to develop and produce an event format that would combine art and action sports, with a strong digital focus.

OWNERSHIP: SCUSA MILANO
SET UP & ENGINEERING: MAMMAFOTOGRAMMA
MOTION DESIGN: ERICA SEGALE
CLOSING PARTY: VICE ITALY

Naming, event production, image development for the temporary gallery and installation of all ATL materials. The Vans Action Gallery was designed as an immersive event with a gif-wall showing motion-art from international artists, interactive mapping projections on the skate ramp and a machine created by collective Mamma Fotogramma that generated physical artefacts from the data flow generated by the skaters in motion.

The different visual elements developed and implemented in this project acted as the common thread for the event: from 3D video-mapping onto the ramp to the output generated by the Skate-Art Machine.
